How to Bet
Esports Bet Types at mbi888
Unlike traditional sports, esports has a unique market structure. Understanding each bet type helps you make better decisions.
Match Winner
The most straightforward bet type — pick the team you expect to win. Odds reflect the teams' relative strength and performance record in the current season.
Handicap and Spread
When one team is significantly stronger, a handicap gives the weaker team a head-start, making the odds more balanced and interesting.
Over / Under (Totals)
Predict whether the total number of maps, rounds or kills in a match will be above or below the value set by mbi888.
Live Betting (In-Play)
Odds update in real time while the match is in progress. This requires quick decisions but opens up value opportunities that are not available before the match starts.

Tips & Guide
How to Bet on Esports More Wisely
Esports betting is not purely down to luck. Players who understand the match context and act with discipline tend to make better decisions over the long run.
Know the Tournament Format
Every esports tournament has its own format — Bo1 (best of 1), Bo3 or Bo5. A weaker team has a better chance of winning in a Bo1 format than in a longer series. Know the format before placing a bet.
Monitor Team Composition
Player substitutions, absences due to visa issues or disciplinary penalties can completely shift the balance of a match. Check the current lineup before any major match.
Track Recent Results
A team's performance over their last 10 matches — particularly within the same season — is more relevant than their all-time record. Focus on current form.
Understand Game Patches
Patch updates in Dota 2, CS2 or Mobile Legends can significantly change the balance of characters or weapons. Teams that adapt quickly to new patches tend to perform better.
Manage Your Bankroll Wisely
Set a daily or weekly limit on how much you are willing to bet. Do not chase losses by sharply increasing your bet size — this is a habit that carries serious risk.
Use Live Betting Carefully
Live betting offers value opportunities when the match situation shifts suddenly. Take a moment to assess before acting — rushed decisions in live betting often lead to losses.
